A calmer alternative to Twitter, X, and Instagram
A lot of people are looking for somewhere else to post — whether it’s the ads, the feed you didn’t ask for, or just wanting something smaller and quieter. pip is one feed for short text, photos, or both, built to be simple rather than to maximize how long you stay on it.
What’s different
| Feature | pip | X / Twitter | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Short text posts | Yes | Yes | Captions only |
| Photos & video | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Plain chronological feed | Yes | No | No |
| Algorithmic feed | Optional | Default | Default |
| Private, invite-only circles | Yes | No | Close Friends only |
| Ads | None | Yes | Yes |
A feed you can actually leave alone
Everyone and Following are plain reverse-chronological feeds — what people posted, in the order they posted it, nothing reordered to keep you scrolling. For You is there if you want something more curated, but it’s a tab, not the only option.
Post publicly, or just to your circle
Friend groups let you post to a small, invite-only circle instead of your whole following list — not a public-by-default platform with a single “close friends” toggle bolted on, but a real private space alongside your public feed.
